Masha Foya's Dreamlike Illustrations Explore Emotional Universality Through Ukrainian Publishing and Exhibitions

Kyiv-based illustrator Masha Foya creates dreamlike digital illustrations that portray spaces and individuals in emotional states, with environments often morphing into single living beings. Her work includes both personal and commissioned projects, currently developing book covers for Ukrainian publishing houses while collaborating with Scientific American and the German newspaper DIE ZEIT. Foya's illustrations are featured in two exhibitions: Illustroteka and Everything Is Translation, organized by Pictoric. Her visual language depicts moments where blue sky breaks through tree canopies or light reflects on pond surfaces, summoning joy and surprise. Seemingly enclosed spaces converge with sky or cosmos, alluding to boundless imagination. Specific works include "One Summer Morning," "Tunnel of Love," "Whispering of the Ionian Sea," "Reflection," "Dreaming in Blue and Green Colors," and "The Stork."
