Mary-Jane: A New Comedy at Comédie Montorgueil

The Comédie Montorgueil in Paris is presenting a new play titled "Mary-Jane," following the success of "Les Sphères Ennemies," which won the Petit Molière for best comedy in 2019. The new production explores the inner world of Mary-Jane, a character whose brain is inhabited by two contrasting personalities: Jane Badass, the right hemisphere, who is ambitious, combative, and cynical, and Mary Goodheart, the left hemisphere, who is dreamy, sensitive, and idealistic. While Jane strives for independence and world domination, Mary dreams of singing at Carnegie Hall and settling into a family life with a charming prince. The play is presented as a companion piece to "Les Sphères Ennemies," offering audiences a chance to see the same universe from a different perspective.
