MARXE a+t Renovates Traditional Fisherman's House in Spain

The renovation of A CORMELÁ by MARXE a+t, curated by Valentina Díaz, reveals and enhances the latent qualities of an original vernacular building, one of the last unchanged traditional fisherman's houses in the area. The 90 m² project, completed in 2025, involved a team led by Natalia Alvaredo, Javier Rocamonde Lourido, and Aurora Gil Méndez, with designer and master craftsman Frank Buschmann, stone worker Ricardo Antelo, and steel worker Forxa Chago. Technical support came from Juan Leis, MARXE a+t, and Manuel Rocamonde, with structural consulting by Escuadría and metal carpentry by Alejo - ALEMET. Suppliers included Anyra Keller (Rothoblaas), Chimeneas Quento, Dámaso, Estelar, Hijos de Vicente Suárez, Kerakoll, Kilovatio, Maderas Besteiro, Maderas Siero, Perez Antolín, Revestimientos Hipólito, and Tejas Verea.
