The exhibition 'Rothko a Firenze' at Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, which concluded on August 23, 2026, set a record as the venue's most attended show, drawing in 301,730 visitors over a span of 162 days. This initiative included the Palazzo Strozzi, Museo di San Marco, and Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana, the latter of which saw more than 32,000 guests. Approximately 60% of the visitors, around 200,000, traveled from outside Florence. The exhibition offered various educational programs and reached over 6.1 million individuals online, resulting in 470,000 interactions. Director Arturo Galansino described it as 'of exceptional importance.' Notably, this was the first collaboration with Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana. Future exhibitions will feature 'Broken. Il potere del frammento' (September 25, 2026 – January 24, 2027) and 'California Dreaming' in 2027.
