Mario Carlo Iusi's "Exitus" Stages Diana and Actaeon in Rome's Palazzo Doria Pamphilj
"Exitus," running from 21 October to 13 December 2026, presents the creations of Mario Carlo Iusi in five rooms at Palazzo Doria Pamphilj, Rome, under the curation of Cristian Moriconi. Drawing inspiration from Filippo Vittori's 1840 ceiling artwork "Diana e Atteone," Iusi employs his "Teoria Semeion" in ink drawings that illustrate time as a zigzag line, featuring silhouettes of Diana, Actaeon, and fifty dogs. Notably, Iusi's head replaces Actaeon's, referencing the styles of Carlo Maratta and Gaspard Dughet. The exhibition includes minimalist art, an arrow installation, and eight mirrored pieces crafted from film and resin. It concludes with the Bagno di Diana, showcasing a radiant frame and a marble tribute to Actaeon's demise by Massimiliano Floridi.
