Marigpa's 'AETHER – Golden Journey' at The Oneness Gallery Explores Silence and Spirituality

Marigpa's exhibition 'AETHER – Golden Journey' at The Oneness Gallery, curated by Nicole Fung, presented a new series of mixed-media paintings created after an extended period of silence and retreat. The show was divided into three sections: 'The Human Spirit', 'The Ascent', and 'The Realised Soul', tracing a journey from material density to spiritual lightness. Marigpa used mineral media and metallic pigments, with textures shifting from heavy entanglement to weightless washes. The final section featured expressive, colorful works themed around joy, including 'Little Harvey' and 'Abu'. Fung designed the spatial pacing to avoid overcrowding, allowing each painting room to breathe. The exhibition was developed in collaboration with Noran Design. It was held at Dundas Street Gallery, Edinburgh, from 27 February to 10 March. Fung and Marigpa discussed the role of silence, abstraction, and the Aether concept in an interview with ArtReview. Fung noted an upcoming project with Charoen Pokphand Group in Beijing.
