Manship Artists Residency Presents 'Hockney Reproduction(s)' in Gloucester
The 'Hockney Reproduction(s)' exhibition at the Manship Artists Residency in Gloucester, Massachusetts, showcases David Hockney's six-decade exploration of reproductive technologies. Curated by Bing McGilvray, the 2025 Manship Resident Artist and a long-time friend of Hockney for over 45 years, the display includes prints, books, faxes, photographs, and more than 90 posters from McGilvray's personal collection, along with items from the David Hockney Foundation (UK) and Salts Mill in Yorkshire, UK. Hockney (1937-2026) remarked, "I've always been interested in printing as a medium... Lots of artists aren't interested…but I am interested." The exhibition runs from September 11 to October 18, open Fridays to Sundays from 1 to 5 PM, with free admission made possible by the David Hockney Foundation (UK).
