Manifesting Marilyn: Immersive Exhibit at Genesis House Marks Star's 100th Birthday

In honor of Marilyn Monroe's centennial, the exhibition "Manifesting Marilyn: The Making of an Icon" debuted at Genesis House in New York on Monday evening. This immersive experience comprises six multimedia areas that illustrate Monroe's evolution from Norma Jean Baker to a worldwide icon, highlighted by a captivating screen adorned with diamonds and stars that reflects her inner world. Personal artifacts on display include a custom suit, a green Pucci top, beauty tools, her SAG card, and an address book featuring names such as Lee Strasberg and Frank Sinatra. Visitors can also explore over 400 vintage books from Monroe's personal library, including works by Joyce, Dostoyevsky, Camus, Freud, and Carl Sandburg. The opening event attracted notable guests like actress Chloë Sevigny and others. Tedros Mengiste, COO of Genesis Motor North America, remarked that the exhibition embodies the bravery to envision beyond limits. It will remain open to the public until August 2.
