MAM Rio Opens Applications for Radical Pedagogies Art and Education Residency
The Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro (MAM Rio) has unveiled the Residência Arte e Educação – Pedagogias Radicais, a four-month residency set to run from October 13, 2026, to January 29, 2027, aimed at individuals in the fields of art, education, and critical thinking. Four selected candidates from Rio de Janeiro or its surrounding areas will each receive R$ 2,000 per month, amounting to a total of R$ 8,000. This hybrid initiative demands approximately 20 hours of commitment weekly and seeks to promote conversations among cultural stakeholders. Applications will be accepted from September 3 to September 20, 2026, with evaluations occurring from September 21-24, interviews from September 28-30, and results announced on October 5, 2026. This program is part of the Bloco Escola initiative, funded by Petrobras.
