Malta Biennale closes second edition at Fort St Elmo
The second edition of the Malta Biennale concluded on May 29, held at Fort St Elmo in Valletta. The closing ceremony featured remarks from notable figures including Myriam Spiteri Debono, Malta's President, and Mario Cutajar, who is overseeing the next biennale in 2026. Noel Zammit, CEO of Heritage Malta, highlighted the event's role in celebrating Malta's cultural heritage. Halil Altindere was honored with the Maltese Falcon Award and recognized as the People’s Choice winner for his pieces "Star Wars: Knights of Malta vs Ottoman Drones" (2026) and "Star Wars: Royal Hunt" (2023), showcased at the Grand Master’s Palace.
