Malta Biennale 2026 Launches with Contemporary Oratorio at Historic Valletta Venue

The Malta Biennale's second iteration commenced on March 10 with an opening ceremony at the Sacra Infermeria in Valletta. An oratorio performance aligned with the event's theme 'Clean / Clear / Cut' featured sound, movement, and visual elements. Key figures present included Artistic Director Rosa Martínez, Heritage Malta Chairman Mario Cutajar, Culture Minister Owen Bonnici, and Malta's President Myriam Spiteri Debono. The biennial exhibition opened to visitors on March 14 and continues through May 29.
