Malaika Newsome Leads Curator’s Tour of Photobooks USA 2000–25 at ICP

In New York City, the International Center of Photography (ICP) is hosting a guided tour of the “Photobooks USA 2000–25” exhibition, led by co-curator Malaika Newsome. The day begins with a Photobook Club meeting at the ICP library from 11 AM to 1 PM, followed by the exhibition tour starting at 1 PM. You can join the tour for free with a museum ticket. Newsome, who is the Curatorial Assistant at ICP, holds a Master’s in Art History and Archaeology from NYU's Institute of Fine Arts, focusing on African and African Diasporic Art. Her past projects include Zora Ilunga Reed’s “Intimidation Tactics” and the Great Hall Exhibition at IFA. The exhibition highlights photobooks as vital for artists tackling current issues in the U.S.
