Madrid's Museo del Jamón unveils new headquarters designed by ba-rro studio in Usera

The Madrid-based design studio ba-rro has completed the new headquarters for Museo del Jamón in the Usera district. Spanning 580 square meters across two floors, the interior design employs a conceptual duality between curve and cut, referencing the morphology of Iberian ham and the blade of a ham knife. On the ground floor, a continuous crimson carpet unifies the space, while a curved glass brick wall evokes the rounded silhouette of a ham leg and creates an interior plaza that encourages movement and conversation. The upper floor features a diagonal glass brick partition that divides the space with clean lines, representing the cut without isolating environments. Material choices include gray granite tables that recall traditional bar counters and black square-tiled volumes, creating a coherent palette that translates the brand's identity without resorting to thematic decoration.
