Maddalena Pamio's 'Promessa e Nostalgia' at z2o Sara Zanin in Rome

exhibition · 2026-07-06

Maddalena Pamio presents her first solo exhibition 'Promessa e Nostalgia' at z2o project by Sara Zanin in Rome, curated by Ilaria Gianni. The show features small-format oil paintings on panel, including works like N67 (2026), N52 (2026), N40 (2026), Ragazza con gatto (2026), Torta (2026), N55 (2026), N61 (2026), and Presagio (2026). Pamio, who trained in Veneto, builds images through layered sedimentation without graphic underpinning, creating a temporal ambiguity where past, present, and future coalesce. The gallery space transforms into a treasure hunt of moments and memories, inviting viewers to step into reflective gray water. The exhibition opened in June and is expected to close in September, paying homage to Patrizia Cavalli's verses.
