Machikado Project in Toyama: Two-Family House by Plan 21
Plan 21, led by architect Umihiko Cho with Masahiko Sawamoto of Assist plus Alpha, has completed a two-family house in Toyama City, Japan. The project, curated by Miwa Negoro, comprises two separate buildings: a single-story residence for the mother and a two-story building for the son and his wife. They are connected by a courtyard and designed to appear as a single structure. The project covers 159 m² and is slated for completion in 2026. Photographs by Akira Ueda.
