MACBA Concludes 30th Anniversary with Performances by Lolo & Sosaku and Esther Ferrer
The thirtieth-anniversary celebrations at Barcelona's MACBA are wrapping up with two performances. On October 30, Lolo & Sosaku will showcase 'Murmullos XI: Perros, caos y otras historias,' followed by Esther Ferrer's closing performance on November 27. Curated by Sabel Gavaldon and Alicia Escobio, 'Murmullos' reflects on MACBA's beginnings and the cultural landscape of Barcelona, emphasizing unfinished endeavors and unrecorded actions. Contributors to the project include Dora García, Lúa Coderch, Edwin van der Heide, and Roc Jiménez de Cisneros. Lolo & Sosaku's creations merge sculpture, installation, and sound, while Ferrer investigates bodily perception. Additionally, the year highlighted 'ASIA, Heavy Metal' at La Model prison and a route connecting MACBA with Fundació Joan Miró, revitalizing artistic narratives.
