M Space's Glass Pavilion: A Contemporary Meditation Hall in Bangkok

M space has completed the Glass Pavilion, a contemporary meditation hall located on the roof garden of Wat Dhammamongkol Thawonbun Nantawihan in Thailand. Designed by lead architect Pakorn Mahapant and a team including Phanupong Thampalert and Gasinee Chivasiripalungkorn, the 915 m² structure was finished in 2024. The pavilion's axis aligns with the nearby Great Stupa, and its design distills fundamental architectural elements, using natural light to shape the spatial experience while evoking traditional Thai architecture from multiple historical periods. The project involved civil engineering by One Gram Co., Ltd., electrical engineering by FOS Lighting Design Co., Ltd., general contracting by Bouygues Thai Co., Ltd., and project management by Trusty Project Management.
