LuYang's DOKU: TRIAGE Installation at Berlin Hospital for Art Week 2026

exhibition · 2026-09-07

From September 12 to 20, 2026, during Berlin Art Week, multimedia artist LuYang will showcase "LU YANG | DOKU: TRIAGE" at the historic Kochhaus of DRK Kliniken Berlin Westend. An opening reception is scheduled for September 11 from 6 to 10 p.m. The installation incorporates hospital beds and expansive banners, drawing inspiration from LuYang's films "DOKU The Self" (2022) and "DOKU The Flow" (2024). It centers on DOKU, a gender-neutral digital avatar that delves into themes of identity and transformation. Additional rooms will feature lightboxes displaying six iterations of DOKU, influenced by Buddhist and Hindu cosmologies. The exhibition is free and accessible daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., reflecting LuYang's personal encounters in emergency settings.
