Luxembourg Pavilion at 2027 Venice Architecture Biennale Taps Exutoire and Céline Zimmer for "Excess!"

exhibition · 2026-09-30

The curatorial concept for the Luxembourg Pavilion at the Biennale Architettura 2027 has been chosen by a jury. Titled "Excess! On the Overconsumption of Living Space," the exhibition is curated by housing specialist Céline Zimmer alongside architects Bùi Quý Sơn and Paul-Antoine Lucas from Exutoire. It tackles the unequal distribution of living spaces while highlighting excessive behaviors that exacerbate housing and environmental crises, fostering a dialogue between Luxembourg and Vietnam. The pavilion is set to open on May 8, 2027. The jury comprised experts from various architecture and cultural organizations. The Venice Architecture Biennale will take place from May 8 to November 21, 2027, showcasing additional national pavilions that engage with themes of coexistence, displacement, and reuse.
