Luisa Maisel’s Ceramic Homage to Women Artists
Luisa Maisel, a New York-born ceramic artist based in Paris, found new direction during Covid lockdowns with her 'Colorful Confinement' porcelain vases. Initially intended as a small series, the vases sold 60 pieces at Maison & Objet, leading to her 'Bubblegum' series of vases made from layered ceramic balls. Maisel’s career pivot to ceramics was inspired by Judy Chicago’s 'The Dinner Party' at MoMA.
