Luis Frey's Khora Vase Reduces Vessel to a Single Flower

Designer Luis Frey has created Khora Vase, a minimalist object designed to hold only one flower. CNC-milled from solid aluminum and hand-finished, the vase measures 150 × 242 × 26 mm. Its anodized, hand-polished surface gives a warm materiality. Interchangeable needles in various sizes allow adaptation to different stems, making the empty space around the flower part of the composition. The name derives from the ancient Greek concept of Khôra, an invisible, formless space that enables things to take shape. Khora Vase was presented during 3 Days of Design 2026 at Deoron.
