Lucia Leuci's 'Le 3:17' Explores the Liminal Night at Galleria Eugenia Delfini

At Galleria Eugenia Delfini in Rome, Lucia Leuci's solo exhibition 'Le 3:17' (May 9 – July 4, 2026) transforms the gallery into a dreamlike landscape. Curated by Caterina Riva, the show features drawings and wax sculptures that evoke the threshold between night and dawn. Central works include the drawing series 'La dea crea il padre' (2026), which inverts the myth of Athena's birth, and 'Sciame' (2026), a set of six wax scepters with painted faces resembling thin branches, intended as talismans against nocturnal fears. Leuci, born in Bisceglie in 1977, draws parallels to Louise Bourgeois's writings in 'Destruction of the Father, Reconstruction of the Father' (Quodlibet, 2008). The exhibition creates a 'mental landscape' where fragility, power, and the unconscious intertwine, inviting viewers to navigate the uncertain hour of 3:17 AM.
