Luca Guadagnino and Stefano Baisi Launch 200-Piece Zara Home Collection

Film director Luca Guadagnino and production designer Stefano Baisi have unveiled their debut lifestyle collection for Zara Home, comprising around 200 pieces including garments, scents, lighting, furniture, and homeware. The collection, described by the brand as an 'atlas of desire', marks their first commercial foray into furniture and fashion. The collaboration began in 2017 when Guadagnino hired Baisi to head his interiors studio. Baisi later served as production designer on Guadagnino's films 'Queer' (2024) and 'After the Hunt' (2025). The duo drew inspiration not from their own films but from works by other directors, including Nagisa Ōshima's 'The Sun's Burial', Edward Yang's 'Yi Yi', and Jean-Luc Godard's 'Prénom Carmen'. Historical references range from Viennese Secessionism to Italian Radical Design, with pieces like the 'Purkersdorf' chair echoing Josef Hoffmann's 'Seven-Ball Chair'. The collection also includes a wardrobe for men and women, printed illustrations by Italian artist Francesco Snote, and scented candles. A 20-minute short film directed by Guadagnino and written by Scott Z. Burns, starring Jamie Bell, Patricia Arquette, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Chase Sui Wonders, marks the launch. The collection will be available from 26 September at zarahome.com and select stores, with a public pop-up at La Pelota in Milan during Fashion Week on 26 and 27 September.
