LP, born Laura Pergolizzi, is known for a distinctive, charismatic voice and an androgynous appearance. Of Italian-Irish heritage, LP was heavily influenced by her parents: they loved rock music, and her mother worked as an opera singer. After establishing a reputation in New York, LP wrote songs for Rihanna and Christina Aguilera, among others. LP's music sets lyrics about the highs and lows of falling in love and life's ups and downs within a timeless pop sound that incorporates retro and rock influences. The article also lists other kulturnews content, including pieces on WASIA PROJECT's 'Nocturne,' female artist collaborations, Kayla Shyx as Amazon Music Breakthrough Artist, Jassin's new single 'Offensive,' an interview with STOPPOK, and a Fat Dog interview.
