Lodovico Corsini Opens Brussels Space with First Date Exhibition

Lodovico Corsini has inaugurated a new permanent location in Brussels with the exhibition First Date, held in a former paint factory that later served as a hybrid office and skatepark. The show features works by represented artists, collaborators, and admired peers, exploring themes of layering, sedimentation, and transformation. Traces of the building's past remain visible, including fragments from previous occupants and stripped-back walls. A peephole in a door offers glimpses behind the scenes of ongoing renovations. The building was originally home to Maison Linckx, founded in 1934, which produced casein-based powdered paints used by artists and artisans in Brussels. The exhibition serves as both a preview of the gallery's future and a look into the site's history.
