Lo Súper's 'Todas somos Orlando' Explores Queer Identity Through Collage at La Gran Vía Cultural

From May 27 to July 5, 2026, La Gran Vía Cultural in Madrid presents 'Todas somos Orlando', an exhibition by artist Lo Súper. Organized by Franquearte Vive el Arte and curated by Corina De Sousa, the show is held in alliance with Muestra t – La Cultural de Madrid Orgullo, celebrating its 20th anniversary. The exhibition features two series: 'Las Orlando' and 'Divinos Iconos'. 'Las Orlando' is a new series of intervened portraits that gather real stories of affirmation, transition, care, and companionship, inspired by Virginia Woolf's 'Orlando' and its contemporary reading by Paul B. Preciado. The series uses Orlando as a symbol of transformation and transit across genders, times, and conventions. It centers on the relationship between Manu and his father Sergio, exploring family diversity and intergenerational transmission, and includes Jennifer, who transitioned later in life due to fear of family rejection. 'Divinos Iconos' revisits cinematic and pop culture icons to activate new readings of desire and visual memory. The exhibition takes place at Hotel Catalonia, Madrid.
