Live Nation Israel Puts Boy George Tel Aviv Concert Tickets on Sale

Live Nation Israel, a subsidiary of the global Live Nation group, began selling tickets on Wednesday for a concert by Boy George, the vocalist of Culture Club, scheduled for November 4 in Tel Aviv. The event is promoted on Ticketmaster, Live Nation's own ticketing platform, with the claim that "no one is more appropriate than Boy George to open the country's doors to international performances." The promoter describes the musician, known for 1980s hits such as "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" and "Karma Chameleon," as "a lover of Israel who arrives with a personal message of love, hope, and connection with the Israeli public." This summer, Boy George released the song "We Will Dance Again," whose lyrics support Israel's military action, including the line: "You say genocide, I say war." The concert and its promotion come amid ongoing debate over international artists performing in Israel. The article also notes that Ed Sheeran prefers not to take sides but has already chosen his.
