Linehouse's three metallic atriums anchor Bangkok's Central Park mall

Chinese studio Linehouse has completed the interiors of Central Park, a mixed-use development in Bangkok on the historic site of the Dusit Thani Hotel. The 40,000-square-metre shopping centre is organized around three atriums clad in silver, copper, and bronze—metals considered auspicious in Thai culture. The Silver Void near the entrance uses a neutral palette and reflective surfaces for calm. The Copper Void in the centre features shifting tones from dusty pink to reddish copper and stepped floor plates revealing overlapping escalators. The Bronze Void incorporates vertical bronze panels and lighting strips. The ground floor's coffered ceiling and floor motifs reference the Dusit Thani Hotel, designed in 1970 by Japanese architect Yozo Shibata and inspired by Wat Arun. Upper levels include oak timber coffers, aluminium panels, and concrete coffers for different retail categories. The top two floors offer alfresco dining with a wooden canopy and connect to Bangkok's largest rooftop garden. The development sits adjacent to Lumpini Park, Thailand's first public park, and includes three towers for a hotel, residences, and offices atop the six-storey retail podium.
