Lew Tolstoi School Extension by AFF architekten in Berlin

AFF architekten completed the extension of the Lew Tolstoi School in Berlin's Karlshorst neighborhood in 2022. The 5,546 m² project includes a new school building and sports hall, designed as an independent urban block within a low-density residential area. The architects aimed to create an optimally usable outdoor school space with sports areas as residential densification continues. The project was curated by Hadir Al Koshta, with landscape architecture by POLA Landschaftsarchitekten, structural engineering by CRP Bauingenieure, and construction management by GEORGI architektur + stadtplanung.
