Leonor Antunes presents site-specific installation in Split

In Split, Croatia, Leonor Antunes has launched her inaugural artistic exhibition, "the homemaker and her domain II," at the Contemporary Art Space Kula. The title of the installation alludes to the social, spatial, and gendered dynamics, reflecting on the cultural legacy of domesticity associated with women. A Dalmatian saying suggests that a woman supports three corners of the home while a man manages one, portraying the household as a realm of care, labor, and gendered space. This installation challenges simplistic interpretations of interiority, broadening the concept of the domain into a spatial investigation.
