Grammy-winning composer Lebohang Morake, known as Lebo M, has filed a lawsuit against comedian Learnmore Jonasi over a disputed translation of lyrics from The Lion King. The legal action, initiated in California on March 16, stems from Jonasi's comments on a podcast episode released on February 25, where he claimed a chant in the song 'Circle of Life' translates to 'Look, there's a lion. Jonasi has responded by crowdfunding for legal fees through a GoFundMe campaign, which has raised over $16,000 toward a $20,000 goal, and selling themed merchandise. He denies intent to harm, stating it was a joke, and has publicly criticized the lawsuit.
