Layer designs Node and Loft charging stations for Daily Objects

architecture-design · 2026-06-25

Layer, an industrial design firm based in London, has introduced two innovative charging solutions for Daily Objects: Node and Loft. Node is a modular wireless charging platform featuring a flat, puck-shaped design that supports various interchangeable modules, including a Wireless Charging Phone Stand (25W fast charging, 7800mAh battery), a Wireless Charging Disk for earbuds, an Apple Watch Charging Stand, and a Portable Lamp with an eight-hour battery life. Meanwhile, Loft serves as a desktop charging station with a 65W capacity, equipped with dual plug sockets and USB-C ports, allowing it to power up to four devices like laptops and tablets. Offered in four colors (Charcoal, Clay, Forest, Mandarin), Loft includes an ergonomic design, a 1.5m braided cord with a cable loop, and a non-slip silicone base. Both products are currently available in India but have not yet launched on the US site. Layer's founder, Benjamin Hubert, emphasized the goal of enhancing the charging experience with clarity, flexibility, and character.
