Laxmi Hussain Named Create Patron, Debut Solo Show Set for 2026

Laxmi Hussain, an artist based in London, has been named a Patron of Create, a charity dedicated to providing creative opportunities for individuals facing various challenges. Hussain’s artistic focus includes themes of motherhood, nature, and the human form. She will support the charity’s goals by engaging in workshops, fundraising, and awareness campaigns. Established in 2003 by Nicky Goulder MBE, Create has reached nearly 51,000 participants through over 17,400 workshops. Inspired by her late mother and her encounter with Goulder, Hussain believes in making creativity accessible beyond conventional cultural venues. She will debut her first solo exhibition, [Un]Seen, at Batsford Gallery from 4-7 September 2026, showcasing works that delve into motherhood, grief, and identity.
