Lawson Fenning launches Bosque seating inspired by Japanese Metabolism

US studio Lawson Fenning has released the Bosque seating range, a collection of low, grounded sofas and chairs that draw on Japan's 1960s Metabolism design movement. Co-founder and chief design officer Grant Fenning described the pieces as 'furniture as built form' that feels architectural yet livable. The collection includes a sofa, lounge chair, and swivel chair, all intended to blend into the architecture of a space rather than stand out as objects. The designer-maker duo sought to embed Metabolist principles on a compact scale, with co-founder and chief creative officer Glenn Lawson noting they wanted to soften the movement's rigidity into everyday comfort. Manufactured entirely in the US, the Bosque range is available in oak or walnut finishes with fabric or leather upholstery.
