Lauri Design Studio Renovates Michigan Lake House with 'Mosh Pit' Lounge

Lauri Design Studio in California, under the direction of Jenni Lauri, has transformed Willow Point, a lakeside home in Michigan that dates back to 2005. The redesign improved the integration of the interior spaces with the surrounding landscape by repositioning staircases and enhancing views. The lower level, encased in glass, features a seamless flow between the kitchen, dining, living, and family areas, ideal for socializing. A new picture window in the kitchen frames views of the forest, while Ceppo stone countertops echo the shores of Lake Michigan. A beaded sculpture by Kelly Farley complements a redesigned fireplace in the living room. The original staircase was refinished, and the main entrance stair was reconstructed using travertine. The upstairs loft serves as a family lounge, and the primary suite is equipped with a kitchenette and a stone vanity that overlooks the bay. Photography is credited to Gavin Cater.
