LANZA Atelier Unveils Brick Serpentine Pavilion for 2026

Mexico City-based LANZA Atelier has revealed their design for the 2026 Serpentine Pavilion, employing a crinkle-crankle wall that uses fewer bricks due to its curved geometry. The architects frame this as a lesson against overconsumption. Separately, fashion designer Willy Chavarria and Adidas launched a World Cup capsule for the Mexican national team, previewed on his A/W 2026 Paris runway. Koto rebranded the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach by reviving an 80-year-old wordmark and adjusting its angle across the lettering system, with colors inspired by the Florida landscape. Colombian artist Delcy Morelos installed Origo at the Barbican, a hand-sculpted oval of over 30 tons of soil, clay, hay, and spice, with tunnel-like openings evoking ancient burial sites. The American LGBTQ+ Museum, set to open in spring 2028 in New York City, will occupy the top floor of The New York Historical's new Tang Wing, featuring a permanent exhibition on queer history and rotating shows on fashion, music, and activism. Founded in 2017 and directed by Ben Garcia since 2022, it is building a collection including a brick from the Stonewall Inn.
