Langosteria London Opens at The OWO with Italian Design and Seafood

other · 2026-08-26

Langosteria, the Italian seafood restaurant group, has opened its latest outpost at The OWO in London, the former Old War Office now a Raffles hotel. The restaurant, which began in Milan in 2007, has expanded to locations including Cheval Blanc Paris, Porto Cervo, Paraggi Bay, and St Moritz. The London venue features a dedicated entrance on Whitehall Place, ensuring it feels separate from the hotel. The interior was designed by Italian architect Carlo Samarati, who passed away before completion, with Thirtyone Design + Management serving as project architect. The design includes a travertine and Italian walnut bar, Verde Alpi marble floors, and a Historical Room with original stone fireplaces and stucco ceilings, contrasted with hand-painted silk wallcoverings by Misha. Custom furniture by Medea and Molteni, and bespoke Venini lamps complete the look. The menu offers classic Italian seafood dishes alongside signature Milanese creations like chateaubriand of black grouper and orecchiette damare. Ingredients include Sicilian langoustine and Mediterranean yellowtail, with dishes such as tonno rosso carpaccio and Mazzancolle prawns alla catalana. The restaurant has become popular with London's Italian expats and is located at Whitehall Place, London SW1A 2BD, United Kingdom.
