Laika’s Wildwood Puppets and Sets Go on View at London’s Design Museum
The Design Museum in London is currently featuring Wildwood: The Exhibition, which delves into the stop-motion artistry behind Laika's film, Wildwood. This exhibition debuted following the film's global premiere at the London Film Festival on 11 October and will be available until 10 January 2027. Directed by Travis Knight, Wildwood showcases expansive sets inspired by the landscapes of Oregon. The exhibition presents costumes, puppets, sets, and previously unseen items, illustrating the teamwork of model makers, cinematographers, and background artists. David Burke, Laika's chief marketing officer, noted that the exhibition aims to promote stop-motion as a legitimate career path. Laika, marking its 20th anniversary in 2026, has created Oscar-nominated works like Coraline and Kubo, with Wildwood hitting theaters on 23 October 2026.
