Lahznimmo Architects Complete Gosford Regional Library in Australia's Civic Heart

architecture-design · 2026-04-12

Lahznimmo Architects have completed the Gosford Regional Library in Australia, with a completion year of 2025. The 2,863-square-meter building was designed to establish a civic presence within Gosford's Civic Heart, directly engaging with Kibble Park's public space. Andrew Nimmo, Annabel Lahz, and Hugo Cottier served as lead architects on the project. Photographs of the structure were captured by Brett Boardman. The library symbolically functions as a 'Town Hall' complementing Kibble Park's role as the 'Town Square'. A design team including Charlotte Bryant contributed to the project, while Spackman Mossop Michaels handled landscape architecture. North Construction acted as general contractor, with engineering and consulting services provided by multiple firms including Northrop Consulting Engineers, Acoustic Logic, MBM, and MCD Fire Engineering. Urban planning was managed by Milestone. Manufacturers involved included Autex Acoustic, Equitone, and Sculptform. The project was curated by Miwa Negoro.
