LACMA Opens David Geffen Galleries with Grand Opening Weekend
LACMA celebrates the Grand Opening Weekend of the David Geffen Galleries from June 18–22, featuring a block party, art parade, and dance. The new galleries house collections including Impressionist works, Buddhist art, and contemporary pieces. Concurrent exhibitions include 'Fashioning Chinese Women: Empire to Modernity', 'Fútbol Is Life: Animated Sportraits by Lyndon J. Barrois, Sr.', and 'SUEÑO PERRO: A Film Installation by Alejandro G. Iñárritu'. The weekend also includes World Cup watch parties, live performances, and talks with Thelma Golden and Michael Govan.
