La Réserve Firenze Opens in a 15th-Century Palazzo in Florence's Oltrarno
On October 16, La Réserve Firenze debuted on Via Santo Spirito in Florence's Oltrarno area, representing the brand’s inaugural location in Italy and an addition to founder Michel Reybier's Private Homes collection. In 2022, Parisian entrepreneurs Olivia and Grégory Marciano purchased the 15th-century palazzo after relocating to Tuscany with their family. They collaborated with French designers Gilles & Boissier for four years to restore the property. It features six apartments ranging from one to three bedrooms, with sizes up to 2,260 square feet, showcasing coffered ceilings, frescoes restored by local artisans, terracotta floors, and Siena travertine bathrooms. One suite boasts a private rooftop terrace with views of Santo Spirito, Palazzo Pitti, and the Arno River. The residences display the Marcianos' art collection, which includes historic tapestries, antiquities from the Fiera di Parma, and contemporary pieces. Amenities include a private library, a billiards room, a gym, and a garden courtyard, along with hotel services like house managers, customized Tuscan excursions, and in-apartment dining from the local trattoria Cammillo. Olivia Marciano expressed that the restoration aimed to respect the building's five-century history while personalizing it for their family, while Grégory described the collection as a reflection of their shared life.
