La Embajada presents six Spanish photographers at Les Rencontres d'Arles
For the third year in a row, La Embajada, an initiative by Plataforma Fotografía e Imagen with support from Spain's Ministry of Culture, showcases a group exhibition at Les Rencontres d'Arles. From over 200 submissions, six artists were chosen. The international jury comprised Christoph Wiesner, Elisa Medde, Kim Boske, Mathieu Asselin, and Shinji Nagabe. The exhibition, which runs until July 12, delves into themes such as memory, transformations in landscapes, familial connections, power dynamics, and narrative image construction. Featured works include 'Firma' by Paula Artés, 'Elevar la tierra, desaparecer' by Antonio Guerra, 'Recibí/Pagaré' by Jorge G. Higuera, 'Glimmers, feathers and staring skies' by Joel Jiménez, 'Une question de transparence' by Aida Lechugo, and 'Por el Ocio de los Insectos Trabajadores' by Alba Ruiz Lafuente. Networking events are also part of the program.
