La Boverie Marks 10th Anniversary with Belgian Impressionism Show
La Boverie in Liège celebrates its tenth anniversary with a major exhibition tracing Belgian contributions to Impressionism, running from 9 October 2026 to 29 March 2027. Nearly 150 works by Belgian and French artists will be displayed, including pieces by Émile Claus, James Ensor, Théo Van Rysselberghe, Anna Boch, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Alfred Sisley. Loans come notably from the Musée d'Orsay. The exhibition positions Belgian figures such as Ensor, Van Rysselberghe, Boch, and Claus in dialogue with French masters, arguing for Belgium's weight in the rise of European modernity. It is staged in the former Palais des Beaux-Arts of the 1905 Exposition universelle, a short walk from Liège-Guillemins station. The venue is at Parc de la Boverie 3, 4020 Liège, Belgium, open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am–6pm.
