La Biennale de Montréal 2016 Announces Artist List for Le Grand Balcon Edition

The 2016 edition of La Biennale de Montréal, titled Le Grand Balcon, has revealed its initial artist lineup under curator Philippe Pirotte. Running from 19 October 2016 to 15 January 2017, the biennial features new commissions including Moyra Davey's film Hemlock Forest and Anne Imhof's multidisciplinary work Angst. International co-productions include a photographic installation by Celia Perrin Sidarous. The extensive list spans over 40 artists from diverse backgrounds, with names like Luc Tuymans, Kerry James Marshall, Haegue Yang, and Xu Zhen. A complete roster will be announced in September.
