The exhibition 'Attitude Era' at Kunstraum Niederoesterreich explores the intersection of reality and fiction amidst the prevalence of deepfakes, online misinformation, populist displays, and algorithmic culture. Running from June 3 to July 27, 2026, it showcases the works of artists including Alice Bucknell, Chun, Zuzanna Czebatul, Andrea Ferrero, Kiki Furlan, Ndayé Kouagou, and Toxic Thekla. Co-curated by Frederike Sperling and Pia Wamsler, the title draws inspiration from professional wrestling, where the boundaries between performance and reality are intentionally blurred. This phenomenon reflects how audiences, aware of the staged nature of wrestling, still engage on an emotional level, paralleling today's media interactions.
