Kulapat Yantrasast to Transform Hathill House at Goodwood Art Foundation in First UK Commission
Kulapat Yantrasast, the founder of WHY Architecture, has been tasked with the redevelopment of Hathill House at the Goodwood Art Foundation, marking his inaugural commission in the UK. Originally constructed in 1975 by F. Heather Hughes and John P. Lomax for Charles Kearley, this Modernist residence will transform into a space for exhibitions and events, thereby enhancing the Foundation's offerings. Acquired by Goodwood in 2020, the revamped house will be accessible to the public for the first time, featuring both exhibition areas and an art library. This initiative is set to coincide with the Foundation's public opening in May 2025. Yantrasast's firm is also working on new galleries for the Louvre and India's National Museum in Delhi. Established in 2004, WHY Architecture is recognized for its Acupuncture Architecture approach.
