Krys Huba's 'falling into you' Revisits JenniCam at soft power Berlin
Krys Huba's exhibition titled 'falling into you' is currently on display at soft power, located at Fürbringerstraße 11 in Berlin-Kreuzberg, from September 12 to October 17, 2026. Visitors can view the exhibit Thursday through Saturday, between 15:00 and 19:00. This showcase draws inspiration from JenniCam.org, which was initiated by Jennifer Ringley in 1996 and ceased operations on December 31, 2003. Huba's collection features oil paintings, printed archival images, and installations crafted from latex and glass. The exhibition posits that Huba sees surviving images as a form of resistance. JenniCam reached a peak of 7 million daily hits. Huba's research critiques nostalgia and examines 'pre-streamers,' engaging with Foucault's Panopticon and themes of consent. Established in 2021, soft power moved to Kreuzberg in 2026. Photography credits go to Studio Replica.
