Kriskadecor Clads Disneyland Paris Store in Aluminium Chain Facade Inspired by Mary Blair

architecture-design · 2026-10-02

Kriskadecor, a Spanish design company, has finalized an aluminium chain facade measuring 14.66 meters in width and 5.8 meters in height for Disney Glamour, the latest retail outlet in Disneyland Paris's Disney Village. This facade utilizes the KDO Fixed System, inspired by the artistic style of "it's a small world," created by Disney artist Mary Blair. Featuring five distinct colors, the design reflects international silhouettes and temple motifs. The epoxy-coated aluminium chains enhance privacy, visibility, and natural airflow while minimizing solar heat gain. Resistant to corrosion and recyclable, the facade has undergone wind pressure testing and has emerged as a striking visual element, responding to light variations. This project was highlighted in a partnership article by Dezeen on 2 October 2026.
