KPW architecten completes 28-unit collective housing project in Kessel-Lo, Belgium

KPW architecten has completed the Platte-Lostraat Collective Housing project in Kessel-Lo, Belgium, with construction finishing in 2025. The 3,300-square-meter residential development contains 28 apartments and occupies a central position within this sub-municipality of Leuven. Its location is strategically placed between several green areas: the Jan Vranckxpad, Trolieberg/Predikherenberg, and Michottepark. A key ambition for the project is to create connections between these existing green structures. The design team was led by Peter Kint, Stijn Philippe, and Pieter Walraet, with additional contributions from Marijke Leflot, Mira Roman, Pieter Steens, Thomas Van Gelder, and Caspar Vanooteghem. General contracting was handled by Dethier, while engineering and consulting involved multiple firms including Paridaens Ingenieurs, Atelier T, Creteq, Groep Infrabo, and Frank Iwens. Photography for the project was provided by Pieter Rabijns. The project falls under the category of residential architecture.
