Kossuth and Kokocinski's Year-Long Dialogue Across Umbria and Lazio

A year-long exhibition project titled "Libertà e Disciplina: un dialogo necessario" (Freedom and Discipline: A Necessary Dialogue) features two ambitious shows by W. Alexander Kossuth and Alessandro Kokocinski, curated by Matteo Pacini. The exhibitions are spread across Umbria and Lazio, in the municipalities of Città della Pieve and Tuscania. The project explores the complexity of beauty in a violent world marked by wars, environmental disasters, and genocides. It critiques empty Duchampian gestures, advocating for a return to the body in painting and sculpture as a site of new plastic configurations, emphasizing techne and craftsmanship over fashion and the art market.
